The Third International Summer Camp, which was organized by School of Civil Engineering(SCE), BJTU, was launched on August 4th. The opening ceremony was held at Room 702 in Civil Engineering Building at 9:00 am. The director of International Education Center Yanqing Liu， vice dean of SCE Hongru Zhang, and Dr. Guoqing Jing attended the event. Meanwhile, , Prof. Xianheng Li, the vice president of The National Taiwan University of Science and Technology as well as his wife attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Prof.  Hongru Zhang hosted the ceremony.
34 participants joined this program  including undergraduates, graduates, doctors as well as professors who come from Israel, Canada, Chinese Taiwan, America, Poland, Italy, and Mainland China. At first, Yanqing Liu gave a speech for the ceremony, and Hongru Zhang, GuoqingJing,Xianheng Li made speeches by turns. And then all the attenders reviewed the video, produced to record the unforgettable moments taken place last year, including learning Chinese calligraphy, visiting places of interests in Beijing, attending scientific forum etc. A variety of activities attracted everyone and they look forward to this year’s program. After that all the campers made brief self- introductions. And finally, the camper Tom Yeshurun from Israel addressed on behalf of all the campersat the ceremony. 
After the ceremony, the campers visited the History Museum Of BJTU and exchanged their ideas with each other. The narrator of the museum give a thorough introduction of the long history of our school.
This program build up a stage for Civil Engineering students to conduct academic communications. Also it helps BJTUstudents promote their abilities of international exchange. By attending the summer camp, many foreign campers will know more about Chinese culture as well as our school.
