Procedures for Overseas Students to Study in School of Civil Engineering, BJTU
Overseas students, who are intended to study in School of Civil Engineering, BJTU, are required to follow the procedures as listed below.
Master/ Ph.D Degree Candidates, Exchange Students, Internship Students:
1. Check whether you can satisfy the admission requirements or not. For specific admission requirements , please refer to http://intl.bjtu.edu.cn/content/intstu.htm#admission
Internship students are not required to satisfy the admission requirements as long as he or she gains his or her supervisor’s approval.
2. Contact supervisor on your own. All the supervisors’ email and CV are available on the official website of School of Civil Engineering, BJTU by browsing the following website http://civil.bjtu.edu.cn/teacher_info/unit_teacher.asp.
3. Apply online. Click http://www.studyatbjtu.com/shop/member!index.action?request_locale=en_US
to apply online and submit your personal information. The tuition fees, application fees and accommodation fees are specified on the website http://intl.bjtu.edu.cn/content/intstu.htm#applica. The eligible applicants should deliver their applications during April 1st through May 30th of the year. ¥500 is required for application.
4. Registration. The qualified applicants will be provided with Student Visa Application Form for Overseas Students to Study in China (Form JW 202) and the Admission Notice. Students should bring the JW202 Table and the Admission Notice to the local Chinese embassy or consulate to apply for Student Visa (X) or Visa (F). The registration place is at the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, BJTU. Admission Notice, JW202 form, Health Certification and 8 2-inch half-length photos are required.
Apply to the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange for residence and student card after arriving at BJTU. .
Standard room: two beds each room with a private toilet room, a color TV set, a telephone and air conditioning.
Normal room: two beds each room with a color TV set, a telephone and air conditioning; each floor with public toilet rooms and public shower rooms, which are cleaned by the residence service every day.

You can use student card to eat at the student’s canteen, take shower, and use other facilities in the campus.
