Dr. Aftab A. Mufti is an Emeritus Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. His research interests include FRPs, FOSs, FEM, bridge engineering, Structural Health Monitoring (SHM). At the University of Manitoba, he introduced new research area of Civionics Engineering to monitor deteriorating infrastructure. He has authored or co-authored 5 books, plus provided chapters for 2 others, edited 9 books, and written more than 350 technical publications. Dr. Mufti is the recipient of 24 awards.

Aftab Mufti教授为加拿大曼尼托巴大学土木工程学院荣誉教授，加拿大工程院院士，同时是加拿大新型材料与智慧传感研究网络的前首席科学家与主席。他是国际结构健康监测协会（ISHMII）的创始人。他的主要研究领域为FRP、FOS、FEM、桥梁工程、结构健康监测。他撰写与合作编写书籍5本，发表期刊论文350余篇，被授予24个奖项。
